What Do Die Casting and Stamping Put Into the Air?
Die casting and metal stamping generate intense bursts of contaminant every time a die closes. Die casting releases die-release-agent smoke, hydraulic oil mist, and aluminium or zinc particulate; stamping releases lubricant mist and drawing-compound aerosol. Without effective source capture, these contaminants accumulate throughout the facility, degrading air quality and leaving an oily film on equipment and floors. Source temperatures can run up to 200 °C, so the capture system has to tolerate heat as well as a bursty, oily load.

Why Source Temperature and Burst Loads Matter
Unlike steady machining mist, casting and stamping produce hot, intermittent bursts — a slug of oil smoke each time the die cycles, at temperatures up to 200 °C. The collector, hood, and ducting have to tolerate that heat, and the filtration has to absorb a spiky load without blinding off. A coalescing pre-stage handles the bulk oil, and a HEPA final stage takes the fine smoke down to 0.3 micron.
