Descripción del producto
  • Engineered for heavy metalworking mist — high-efficiency capture of coolant mist, oil mist and smoke from machining equipment and oil reservoir operations at up to 2,000 CFM.
  • Five-stage filtration with certified HEPA included as standard — dual mechanical elements, dual demisters, two oil mist fiber bed stages and a final HEPA, so sub-micron mist and smoke never reach the shop floor.
  • Full 316 stainless steel construction stands up to aggressive coolant chemistry, washdown and corrosive vapor that pits painted carbon steel housings.
  • Two Magnehelic® gauges monitor primary and secondary stages separately — crews see exactly which chamber needs service before airflow drops, instead of guessing.
  • Built for continuous duty — 15 hp motor and an 85°C temperature limit keep the unit running through lights-out and multi-shift production.
  • Long service intervals, low cost of ownership — inspection at 3, 6 and 12 months sets the schedule; the HEPA is changed only when the gauge reads 3.75 in. w.g.
  • 77 dB(A) — the quietest unit in the ARO-X family, low enough to sit beside operators without adding to shop noise exposure.
  • Customizable to the application — blower packages, connection sizes and layout configured to your process rather than a stock footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions about the ARO-X 2000

Para ayudarte a tomar una decisión informada, hemos compilado una lista de preguntas frecuentes sobre esta solución de recopilación de alto rendimiento.
An engineered air purification system can be configured for coolant and oil mist, weld, plasma and laser-cutting fume, cooking smoke and grease, plastic smoke and off-gassing, high-temperature process exhaust, acid fume and corrosive gas, sticky and tacky aerosols, solvent and coating vapor, VOC and odor, soldering and reflow fume, thermal spray and additive manufacturing fume, and rubber and composite curing off-gas. The contaminant determines the filtration stages, not the other way around — a system built for tacky aerosol is configured differently from one built for solvent vapor. This is why engineered systems are specified from process data rather than selected from a catalog.
HEPA and activated carbon solve two different problems and are not interchangeable. HEPA is mechanical filtration — it captures solid and liquid particulate, including sub-micron smoke, at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns, but gas molecules pass straight through it. Activated carbon works by adsorption, holding gas-phase compounds such as VOCs, solvent vapor and odor on its surface, but it does not capture particulate. A process that produces both smoke and vapor needs both stages, with the particulate stages placed upstream so they do not blind the carbon.
Size on the volume of air that has to be moved and the resistance of the system moving it, not on machine count. Calculate the enclosed volume to be ventilated in cubic feet, multiply by the air changes per hour the process requires and divide by 60 to get the airflow in CFM, then determine the static pressure loss across the duct run and the filtration stages before selecting a blower. Undersizing the blower for static pressure is the most common specification error, because a system that hits its airflow target on paper will not reach it through real ductwork.
Source capture is the more effective approach in almost every process application, because it removes the contaminant where it is generated, at the highest concentration and the smallest volume of air. Ambient or general room filtration treats the whole building volume, which requires far more airflow to achieve the same result and leaves the operator breathing the contaminant before it reaches the filter. Occupational exposure rules in most jurisdictions treat source capture as the expected engineering control for welding fume, machining mist and similar process emissions — a facility should confirm its specific obligations with its own health and safety authority.
An industrial air scrubber is a system that removes contaminants from a process airstream before that air is recirculated into the plant or exhausted outside, using several filtration stages in sequence rather than one filter element. Wet scrubbers do this by passing the airstream through a liquid; dry systems do it through staged mechanical, coalescing, HEPA and adsorption media. A basic air filter traps particles of one size range and then loads up; a staged industrial system separates the contaminant progressively, which is what allows it to handle mist, smoke, fume and gas in the same airstream.
